Thank you for taking an interest in our student staff roles at Greenwich Students’ Union(GSU).

GSU is a charitable organisation which plays a crucial role in the experience of over 20,000 students who attend the University of Greenwich. Our job is to ensure that students become their best while at Greenwich.

We have three main departments here at GSU: Membership Services, Commercial Services, and Support Services. These services spread across three campuses with our main offices being based at Greenwich and Avery Hill in Eltham and Medway in Kent.

Barista - Avery Hill

As the Barista / Coffee Shop Assistant in our Student Union, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere for students, faculty, and visitors. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional coffee, beverage and food service, receiving and delivering orders (coffee, soft drinks, alcohol and food) ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for all guests.

Student Marketing and Communications Assistant

The purpose of the Communications Assistant is to: Promote the events and services hosted by The Hub and The Deep End Work with the Marketing and Communications department to promote GSU activity at Medway to support the partnership between Greenwich, Kent and Canterbury. Produce engaging content for use on The Hubs social media channels and website. Including videos, photos, graphics and text copy.

Venue Manager - Greenwich

The Venue Manager has overall responsibility for the delivery of food and beverage services, events and evening/late-night trade, including operational control of external events in the venue. The role has responsibility for the continued development of the venue's events programme; including but not limited to existing club nights and student-led events.
